My vet suggested that I purchase an 'air tight' food keeper for my puppy. She says that keeping the food in the bag, closed or not (after opening), does not keep out the food mites which could cause allergies. After shopping around, I purchased this container and it is just what I was looking for. I keep it next to the food bowls and it works out so much better than keeping the food in the bag anyway....allergies or not.
